Aurea’s own, Consuelo Sherba, is featured in David Amram’s 91st Birthday celebration concert, with a new solo viola work, Prelude, Prayer and Dance, which she recently premiered in New York City, and will be paired with an earlier work, The Wind and the Rain, inspired by Amram’s collaborations with Joseph Papp.

David will perform a concert in celebration of his 91st birthday. This unique and exceptional event – the conclusion of the composer’s 90th year celebration – is being filmed for inclusion in a feature length documentary film of his extraordinary life and work, David Amram at 90: Still a Promising Young Composer.

RISCA Grant received

Congratulations! We are happy to report that the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts (RISCA) has awarded a grant in the amount of $3,750.00 to Aurea Ensemble for the project named Investments in Arts & Culture FY20!
