Nigel trained at the Rose Bruford College of Speech & Drama in London and at the Trinity Rep. Conservatory. He has just returned from England, where he appeared as Volumnia in an all-male production of Shakespeare's Coriolanus at Mercury Repertory Theatre in Colchester. Prior to Colchester, Nigel was featured as Mark Antony in Antony & Cleopatra and as Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, with Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, Massachusetts. Recent work includes Macbeth in Macbeth at the Vineland Theatre in Los Angeles (Best Actor nomination, L.A. Weekly Theatre Awards) Claudius in Hamlet at Shakespeare & Co., Harry Stone in Tom Murphy’s The Sanctuary Lamp (Eliot Norton Award Best Production, Small Theatre 2004-5) at Boston’s Sugan Theater Company, Bernard Nightingale in Arcadia at the Boston Publick Theatre (Eliot Norton Award Best Production, Small Theatre 2005-6), Faust in Goethe’s Faust, First Works Providence 2006, and Hector/Menelaos in Aurea’s world premiere of War Music by Christopher Logue. In April of 2004 Nigel appeared in the World Premiere of Nathan Currier’s Gaian Variations in Avery Fisher Hall at NYC’s Lincoln Center.
